He studied Biological Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid and a Postgraduate degree in Public Affairs Management at the Comillas Pontifical University ICADE. He has worked for more than 10 years in the Spanish Association of Plastics Converters (ANAIP) technical department and has been working for more than 15 years in the pan-European association of plastics producers , Plastics Europe, where he has been responsible for the protection of the marine environment. He collaborates on several projects in the field of marine litter and microplastics together with other representatives of industry, academia, authorities and NGOs. He is currently responsible for public affairs and sustainability for Plastics Europe, in its regional center in Ibérica, dealing with issues related to plastics in the environment, such as the Operation Clean Sweep® program, which aims to prevent plastic pellets from reach the environment. He also collaborates as a teacher at the Menéndez Pelayo International University and participates as a speaker at various conferences and university master’s degrees.
