MARLICE: Venue and Floor Plan
PORT OF THE CROSS
The first tourists who arrived in the Canary Islands did it to this place, which has not lost its intimate sailor flavor despite the hundreds of thousands of travelers it receives each year. It still retains its fishing dock intact, where the boats arrive early with fresh fish. Sitting in the Plaza del Charco is a sublime pleasure. Or have an ice cream in one of the endearing ice cream shops around you. Then there is the privilege of watching the waves break on the coast of San Telmo, with the spectacular Lake Martiánez in the background. And all that makes up a wonderful postcard.
Lago Martiánez
LagoMartiánez will be the Venue of the Forum. It is a leisure complex located in Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of Tenerife. Designed by the Lanzarote artist César Manrique, this space stands out for its integration with nature and traditional Canarian architecture. Opened in 1977, it occupies an area of approximately 100,000 m2 and is declared of Cultural Interest with the category of Historic Garden since 2005.
The complex features a central saltwater artificial lake, surrounded by seven swimming pools, gardens, terraces, restaurants and a casino. In addition, it houses a collection of sculptures by César Manrique, turning it into an open-air museum.
With views of the sea and the Teide, Lake Martiánez offers a unique environment for the realization of MARLICE 2026 and to enjoy the sun, water and art in one place.
