The First International Forum on Marine Litter and Circular Economy – MARLICE took place from 10 to 12 April 2019 in Seville (Spain).
More than 200 attendees from start-ups and leading entrepreneurs, industrial agents, promoters of innovative initiatives, agents of change, researchers, civil society representatives, policy makers and financial institutions worked together to share knowledge and discuss new approaches to a circular economy in the Mediterranean and Atlantic regions.
Marlice 2019 was held in coordination with the UNEP/PAM network of marine litter experts, the Second Regional Meeting on Marine Garbage Best Practices, held from 8 to 10 April. During the first day of work of MARLICE2019 an open session was held. The international forum included 31 scientific sessions, 4 keynotes, 68 speakers and 2 open events dedicated to the Mediterranean and Atlantic regions.

MARLICE sponsors high-level meetings during the forum. Technical working groups that serve for the exchange of information, as a forum for discussion, providing guidance and advising policy frameworks.
