Biography

She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environmental Sciences, a technical degree in Civil Engineering, and a degree in Civil Engineering. In 2013, Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the University of La Laguna, receiving the highest distinction of Summa Cum Laude (Sobresaliente “Cum Laude”). Institutional Appointments Currently, she serves as the Director of the Sustainability Secretariat under the Vice-Rectorate for Sustainability and Infrastructures at the University of La Laguna (ULL). Her institutional leadership is complemented by her active role in the AChem research group and her position as the Coordinator of the Preventive Medicine and Public Health research group. Research Interests and Scientific Output Her primary research program examines the synergies between environmental pollution and public health, with specialized expertise in the detection and impact of microplastics and multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs). To date, her scientific contributions include: 30 JCR-indexed publications in high-impact international journals. 60 conference proceedings, comprising both oral communications and poster presentations at national and international symposia. A sustained commitment to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge within the field of environmental health.
