Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela and PhD from the University of Extremadura. Since 2018, civil servant within the Senior Technical Specialist Corps of Autonomous Bodies of the Ministry for the Environment. Currently, Head of the Human Activities and Marine Pollution Area within the Sub-Directorate General for the Protection of the Sea, part of the Directorate-General for the Coast and the Sea of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. Key responsibilities include the technical leadership of initiatives addressing marine litter, both at the national level and in the implementation of the Regional Seas Conventions to which Spain is a Party (the OSPAR Convention and the Barcelona Convention), as well as at the European level through participation in their respective committees and working groups.
