Ana Dinis is a researcher at MARE-Madeira/ARDITI working on ecosystem services and stakeholder engagement in ocean conservation projects. Part of her research focuses on microplastics and emerging contaminants in marine ecosystems, assessing their sources, distribution and ecological impacts, and how these pressures affect the functioning and sustainability of marine ecosystem services. She contributes to interdisciplinary EU funded initiatives supporting evidence-based ocean governance.
