Description

The roundtable will address the current state of microplastic monitoring in the marine environment, combining presentations from several recent projects that have assessed their presence in different settings. Based on these case studies, a discussion will be opened focusing on the main challenges—such as the standardization of methods, data comparability, and technical limitations—as well as the most promising advances in the field. The session will conclude with an open dialogue that will include questions and contributions from the attendees, fostering the exchange of perspectives among researchers, managers, and other key stakeholders.
