Marisa Almeida is a senior researcher at CIIMAR and PI of the Environmental Chemistry and Recovery team. With a PhD in Chemistry, her research is currently centred on three interconnected topics, namely phytoremediation for remediation of aquatic environments, monitoring of environment pollutants and microplastics monitoring focusing on methodologies harmonization.
