Biography

Jordi is an ocean advocate born in the Mediterranean Sea. He’s an Industrial Engineer with an MBA. He got to know biocomposites during his engineering studies and started making more durable surfboards in his grandmother’s garage, during flat summer periods. He ended up working at Europe’s largest surf factory, Olatu from Pukas, where he realized about the potential for the industry to do better for the environment. He co-founded the non-profit Good Karma Projects “”for sustainability in boardsports””. Aiming to redefine the boardsports industry as a leading example of how things can be done better for people and the planet. In parallel, Good Karma started developing citizen science and educational programs and rapidly evolved into a social-environmental project. The organization is now well-known for leading the pellets pollution issue through the Western Mediterranean. He´s currently involved in R*Concept, fostering respectful biocomposites solutions focused on recyclability and lowering the CO2 footprint and toxicity of the materials used in composites applications.
