Description

To meet the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, full implementation of the circular economy and cooperation between all stakeholders is essential. Through eco-innovation, the circular economy system enables a rethinking of business that incorporates sustainability into all business operations along the value chain. Products and materials are designed to be reused, remanufactured, recycled, recovered and kept in the market for the long term, as well as avoiding or minimising the generation of waste, especially litter, with a consequent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The session is a brief sample of the activities currently underway in Spain. From the discussion, participants will establish recommendations for coordinated action to accelerate the transition of the business model along a downstream and upstream value chain.
