PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) Leioa, 2007. She has been working in the Azti Marine Research Unit since 2007. High degree of experience in the assessment of the chemical status of estuarine and coastal waters according to the Water Framework Directive and the European Marine Strategy Directive. I participate in national and international projects related to the implementation of the above mentioned directives. Expert in marine pollution, such as priority, preferred and emerging substances as microplastics in different compartments, as well as hydrographic variables. Experience in the development of analytical methods (metals, organic pollutants, microplastics) in sediment, biota, water and analysis of total organic carbon and dissolved nutrients.
