Pilar Zorzo is a marine biologist with more than 30 years of experience in public and private sectors and expertise in the study of the pressures of human activities on the sea, and the national implementation of the International Conventions for the Protection of the Marine Environment, regarding marine litter, and the marine European Directives. Since 2015, she is the President of AEBAM, and she was co-chair of the Technical Group on Marine Litter of the European Commission (TG ML) (2022-2025)
