The session aims to showcase various initiatives and case studies on the implementation of circular economy models applied to marine litter and waste from maritime activities, with a view to transforming a major environmental problem into an opportunity. One of the key focuses of the session will be the applicability of recycling and the recovery of materials and equipment at the end of their useful life in the maritime industry, such as fishing gear, end-of-life vessels or port waste.
